Sakonnet River Bridge
This week we’re heading back to a walk we tried earlier this year that was just a little too chilly to enjoy in all its glory. We will be taking on the cross town walk that sparked so many more and walking across the Sakonnet River Bridge from Tiverton to Portsmouth!
We will be kicking off this walk with a brief social hour at 3:30 PM at MF training where our friend Melanie will be hosting us for social (half) hour before we take off for an ~ 3 mile walk at 4pm sharp!

Dinner and Climbing
We're offering an opportunity to wind down from the work week with a walk, dinner, and a chance to try out rock climbing! We will be meeting at 6:00 PM at The Melting Spot food truck in New Bedford, where their amazing team will once again be opening up just for our group.
Because our last visit was such a hit, we decided to extend the evening! Step outside of your comfort zone (or just come hang out) at Carabiner's climbing gym as we close out the night.
The incredible team at Carabiners has even offered a special rate just for us for the evening!
As always, this activity is completely optional, and you are welcome to join for just the walk, just this, or both!
Cisco Stroll
We are kicking things off this week with a Wednesday night stroll through Fort Taber, followed by an evening social hour at Cisco! Grab a bite to eat, play a few rounds of yard games, and soak in the beautiful waterfront views.
Barrington Evening
We are winding down the day with a revisit to a newer route, heading back to Barrington for another beautiful stroll on the East Bay Bike Path. We'll take a mid-walk stop at Del's for a classic lemonade to wrap up the day.
New Bedford Morning
We are kicking the day off with a new stop in a tried and true neighborhood! We will be starting our day at The Bedford Merchant, where you can check out a store owned by one of our very own South Coast Girls Walk community members. We are so excited to support one of our own and finally bring you a long-awaited visit from the Sorbae frozen pop truck to close out the walk!
SOAM BESTIES DAY
This Saturday, August 8th, we are heading back to the SOAM market for another gorgeous cross-town walk!
This week’s SOAM theme is BESTIES DAY! Whether your bestie is 2-legged or 4-legged, bring them along—or come ready to meet a brand-new friend in our wonderful community. (And remember, a bestie is totally optional—feel free to come solo and join in on the fun!)
To make it extra fun, we are encouraging all bestie pairs to dress in matching outfits! We'll be snapping photos of everyone before and during the walk to capture your matching looks.
Enjoy a beautiful morning moving your body together, followed by a lovely stroll through the SOAM farmers market afterward.
Grab your sneakers, leash up or lace up, coordinate those outfits, and tag your bestie in the comments below. We can't wait to see you there!

Tropical Tails
We're celebrating the Dog Days of summer with one for our four legged friends. On Saturday, July 25th, we are celebrating all the furry friends in our community with a special Pup-Themed Walk!
We’re heading to the Ice Cream Cottage in Fairhaven, and we are so excited to be joined by our friends from Pawsitive Impact Pet Care!
This isn't just any walk, we’re hosting a Tropical Costume Contest for our pups! We want to see your furry friends decked out in their best island attire. And, of course, we’re hoping our two-legged walkers will join in the fun, too! So break out your best Hawaiian gear, throw on those leis, and let’s make it a tropical party to remember!
Sunset In the Sand Dunes
Join us this Wednesday, July 22nd, as we take it back to one of our all-time summer favorites: Horseneck Beach.
There is nothing quite like a sunset stroll with this community, and we can’t wait to soak in those ocean views with you all.
Important Note on Timing: We are pushing our start time back to 6:30 PM for this walk. We know the mid-week hustle is real, and we want to make sure everyone has plenty of time to get here from work and settle in before we start our walk.
Walkers Choice! Evening Session
Join us as we wind down the day along the scenic East Bay Bike Path. We’ll take off from Barrington at 4pm and walk our way over to Warren, where we'll make a fun mid-walk stop for refreshing lemonade or delicious tacos! Afterward, we’ll head back to our starting point leaving you with plenty of time to head home and prep for the week ahead feeling completely refreshed.
Walkers Choice! Morning Session
Erica is kicking off the day with a wonderful walk right along the beautiful Mattapoisett coast. After our steps are in, we’ll head over to enjoy the annual Harbor Days Festival! It's the perfect chance to stroll, socialize, and shop at the Harbor Days market, which features over 100 incredible local vendors.
Start time is 10:00am at 12 water Street in Mattapoisett, MA. Street Parking available!
Yoga and Battleship Cove
Monday, July 13th, we are switching things up and supporting one of the people who has been there for us since the start! If you joined us for our yoga event last year, you will remember Sophia, who so kindly led our group. Well, now she’s teaching at Battleship Cove, and we are so excited to head over there to support her!
Join us on July 13th for a sunset yoga class on the battleship, followed by a walk along the water at Battleship Cove. Whether you join us for just yoga, just the walk, or both, we hope to see you there!

Mount Hope Farm
We loved this walk so much last year that we just had to bring it back!
Our amazing friends at Mount Hope Farm have invited us back to enjoy their gorgeous, scenic views, and Farmers Market. We couldn’t be more excited to revisit this amazing route! Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 27th, because this is the perfect way to kick off your weekend!
Grab your walking shoes, bring a reusable tote bag for some local market goodies, and come catch up with old friends or make some new ones. We can't wait to see you all there!

Kick off the long weekend with us!
We’re celebrating the start of the summer season with a special community Night Walk in New Bedford!
There is no better way to head into a long weekend than with a stroll along the water, great company, and a little celebration. Join us on June 18th at 6:00 PM for a beautiful evening walk.
After the walk, we’ll be heading to CISCO Brewers to keep the good vibes going. Grab some cocktails (or mocktails), enjoy some snacks, play a few rounds of yard games, and soak in the beautiful waterfront views with the crew!
Saturday at SOAM
This week we have a big one planned! We’re taking on a new town, visiting a local vendor market, and setting out on another cross-town trek!
Join us as we explore Somerset and check out the South Coast Open Air Market (SOAM). SOAM is an open-air marketplace featuring an incredible variety of local vendors, from delicious food and sweet treats to handmade crafts, unique gifts, and so much more. Supporting local businesses is something we love, and we’re excited to spend some time exploring everything this community market has to offer.
And here’s a fun fact: Did you know you can walk from Somerset to Fall River? We’ll be doing just that as we make our way across town and enjoy a scenic route that connects these neighboring communities.
Whether you’re joining us for the walk, the market, the chance to meet new friends, or all three, we’d love to have you with us!

Farm to Cup
We are kicking off June with an exciting new take on an old Favorite! We all know and love Sweet Lizzie’s, but did you know Fairhaven also has an Acai spot?! As the weather is heating up, we will start our walk with a refreshing treat, coffee, or breakfast at Farm 2 Cup before heading downtown via the Fairhaven Bike Path! After our morning cool off we will be heading out for a beautiful, shaded walk through the Fairhaven bike path before returning to Farm 2 Cup for another opportunity to grab a bowl, or a bite for lunch.
