Our Story

The idea for South Coast Girls Walk started with a chance reconnection. Co-founders and longtime friends, Sam Destremps and Erica Richard, are South Coast natives who both spent time away before returning to the area in their mid-twenties. After bumping into each other and rekindling their high school friendship, they realized their adult hobbies were perfectly aligned: fitness, local exploration, and a lot of coffee.

While traveling, they discovered a social walking club and immediately saw the potential for something similar back home. Wanting to share their deep love for the South Coast community and create an easy, pressure-free environment for women to meet, they turned to social media to gauge interest.

The response was overwhelming. What began as a simple idea between two friends quickly exploded into a vibrant, supportive community of thousands of women.
