Meet Meg!

Meg is a New Bedford native, community builder, cat lover, and runner who would much rather be walking.

At 6 feet tall, her long legs often place her near the front of the pack, but don't let that fool you. She's rarely in a hurry. On some walks, you'll find her chatting with anyone willing to strike up a conversation. On others, she's quietly enjoying the fresh air and letting the miles do the talking.

By day, Meg works from home teaching tech sales professionals how to sell, which means she spends plenty of time on Zoom. Getting outside for a walk is one of her favorite ways to unplug, recharge, and reconnect with people face-to-face.

Over the last year, we have had the joy of getting to know Meg and the positivity she brings to everything she does.

Outside of SCGW, Meg serves on the South Coast YMCA Board of Directors, supports local community initiatives, and is almost always training for some type of race.

Her health and fitness journey has been life-changing, and one of the biggest lessons she's learned along the way is that movement is better, and a lot more fun, when shared with a community.

Whether someone is joining their first walk, looking to meet new people, or considering signing up for their first 5K, Meg is always happy to connect.

Just be warned: ask her about run/walk intervals, and she will running right alongside you!

We are so excited to have Meg as a part of our ambassador team. She is truly the brightest light, bringing boundless positivity to every walk she attends. Meg has brought so much encouragement to our community and we are so grateful for the warmth she brings to every mile.
